In this tutorial, we'll learn how to create golden letters using styles in Adobe Photoshop.
As a result of our work, we get the following golden sparkling text:
Step 1. Create a new document in Photoshop: File menu / New, or ctrl+n set the size to 640x480 pixels and OK . The background color is black.
Step2. Choose Type tool on the toolbar and paste the desired text. The author chose the word GOLD. Font "Times New Roman Bold". If the text size does not suit you, edit using the menu Free Transform or ctrl+t.
Step3. Create a duplicate of the GOLD text layer using the context menu or a combination Ctrl+J. Next we will work with a copy of the layer GOLD copy.
Step4. Set the golden gradient for the text. In the Layers window ( Layer palette) in Photoshop there is a useful button Layer Styles(Layer style):
Select the gradient overlay.
Step5. The gradient you create should mimic the iridescence of gold, so there should be a transition from light gold to rich gold. In the gradient editor window, set the color of the left marker as in the figure - R:247, G:238, B:173, which corresponds to a light golden color (# f7eead).
For the right marker, set R:193, G:172, B:81 in the same way (#c1ac51). Then click OK, close the editor window.
The result should look something like this:

Do not close the style editor window, it will still come in handy.
Step6. The text should be three-dimensional, for which we use other layer effects. In the style editor window, set the following parameters for Bevel and Emboss (Embossing)
like this: change Technique (Method) to Chisel Hard (Hard cut),
Gloss Contour on "Ring Double"
and select the Anti-Aliased option.
Set the size to 16 pixels and Depth (Depth) 171%:
The letters are now golden.
To enhance the effect, you can add Contour (Contour).
Step7. Let's continue with the Style Editor dialog box. Choose Inner Glow (Inner glow)
and set the following parameters: change the color to orange (R:232, G:128, B:31),
This completes the work with the duplicate text layer.
Step8. Let's continue with the original text layer. Click on this layer in the layers palette to make it active.
Click on Layer Styles to get started with layer styles.
Select Stroke (Stroke) and set the following parameters for it
Set up a gradient for the stroke. To do this, open the Gradient Editor and set the color for the left marker to R:247, G:238, B:173 and for the right one - R:193, G:172, B:81. OK.
Step9. Now you need to adjust Bevel and Emboss (Embossing) for Stroke (Stroke).
To do this, in the style settings dialog box, select Stroke Emboss and set other parameters as shown in the figure: 
The result should be like this. 
Step 10. Now you can add in the style settings dialog box Outer Glow (External glow), color R: 183, G: 145, G: 79.
Step 11. And now let's make the text sparkling and shining. To do this, add a new Sparkles layer. This layer should be above all layers. Use a brush similar to X, which we select from the Assorted Brushes of Adobe Photoshop. 
We will choose the lightest color for drawing from all that is in the image. In some places we add some sparkles, sparkling highlights in the Sparkles layer. Make the layer semi-transparent and enjoy the result.

Get ready for painstaking work, you need to do everything step by step and not neglect the small nuances, then everything will work out.
Step 1: Getting Ready
1. Create a new drawing sized 1200x800 px and open the "Layers" window.
2. Make the background black using the Fill tool.
3. Select white color in the palette and write something using the text tool. We chose Times New Roman Bold 230 pt, fig.2.
4. Position the text in the middle using the Move tool. To change the size of the inscription, use the "Free Transform" in the "Edit" menu.
Step 2: Making the Gold
1. Press the fx button at the bottom of the layers window and select Gradient Overlay from the list. Click once on its color to edit it. A window with a color school will appear. If you had standard colors (black and white) on the toolbar, then the gradient will be black and white.
On the scale you will see sliders, these are color control points. Double-click on the lower left slider and select yellow (#ffff00) on the palette, Fig. 3, change the final color of the gradient in the same way by clicking on the second lower slider on the right. Set the hue closer to gold (we took #cc9900), fig.4. Click OK. In the window with gradient styles, change the style to "Mirror", set the opacity and scale to 100%, Fig. 5, click "OK" again. It should turn out something like here, Fig.6.
2. Press fx and Emboss again. Change the method to "Hard Cut", depth 195%, size 90, fig.7, select "Double ring" for the gloss outline, and check the box next to "Smoothing" next to the outline, fig.8. It already looks like gold. You can also increase the depth to taste.
3. But do not rush to close the style window, on the left under "Embossed" check the box next to "Contour".
4. In the same place, in the style window, check the box in front of "Gloss" and select it with the mouse by going to the settings. Select the “Base Dodge” mode, set the opacity to about 50%, and the color is bright yellow (#ffff00), fig.9.
5. Now select "Shadow", blending mode "Normal", opacity 100%, color #999900, offset and range = 0, size = 6, outline "Double ring" plus "Anti-alias", fig.10. Here's what happened, fig.11.
1. Create a new empty layer (second button to the right of the trash can in the layers window).
2. Activate the eyedropper tool and sample the color from the lightest part of the letters.
3. Switch to "Brush" with 100% opacity and adjust the size of the tool.
4. In the brush settings in the top menu, load the "Miscellaneous brushes" category and select brush #25 or #48, fig.12.
5. Paint glitter on the letters where appropriate. Approximately as in the sample, Fig.13.
Now you know how to make golden letters. Perhaps your version will be better than ours. You can use other shades of yellow, it is not forbidden to change the values of the parameters in the style settings, focusing on how the appearance of the letters changes in this case.
